    As someone who has trained in medieval fencing I feel the Earl’s pain… You train for so many hours to stop attack A with Parry B that when an amateur uses attacks with random angles (45 degree are the sharpest, or to be clearer perpendicular to the surface attacked, is what you expect) your brain gets in the way of your reflexes from picking the right parry.

    When he talks about baiting with a false opening then counter attacking, it’s the best solution, force him/her to overextend and strike when out of balance, it’s safer that way then fighting normally.

  15. I tried editing the whole chapter once (first time doing something like editing…) but as I’m not a native speaker, I may not really be the cream of the crop. I put lot’s of EDN (Editor Notes) inside, especially if I perceived a phrase as confusing or I thought I may have changed too much. I’d be happy about a reply and if you are fine with it, I’d edit one or two chapter a week until september (university starts again, though I’m also going on holidays at the start of August).
