How I wish that I can skip the science explanation. I can’t even understand it with my language, how can I translate it to English.

The Wyvern was watching the situation while turning in the sky where Rena and Pauline’s magic doesn’t reach.

Apparently, he seemed to be a little wary as he has nearly taken a direct hit of attack magic.

However, he didn’t have intention to abandon this hunting ground since the danger was only to this degree

“Now, we will start our first strike from here” (Mile)

“First strike?” (Rena)

“It means we will take initiative to attack” (Mile)

Mile explains to Rena the words she just said that Rena doesn’t understand.

“I know that much! What I want to ask is how to attack the Wyvern in the sky where our attack magic doesn’t reach!” Ge~ho ge~ho, ha~a ha~a…” (Rena)

Rena seems to have a sore throat because she shouts too much. For magicians, throat is important, she should take care of herself.

I will make her a throat candy next time. That was what Mile thought.

“Do you say that your magic will reach him?”  (Rena)

“Well, I don’t know, but if the attack doesn’t reach from the ground, I should fly as far as possible to reach it.”  (Mile)

Mile replied to Rena’s question, it seems she can still talk if she doesn’t shout.

“So, Rena, please start chanting attack magic. I will help you fly to the sky.

After you finish chanting just leave the trigger word and activate magic when you’re approaching the Wyvern.

There isn’t time to be talking now. Rena thought so and she decided to believe Mile.

The Wyvern is startled.

(Humans aren’t supposed to be able to fly in the sky, and that girl is surely flying straight at me with an amazing speed.

She also opens her mouth screaming something with a terrifying face while flying towards me.

This is the individual who used magic to attack me earlier. Dangerous!

I must avoid.

Then, that person passed by me without changing the course.

She still kept shouting.)  (Wyvern thought)

“Aaaaaaaaaaaa ~ ~ !!”  (Rena)

“Rena, why didn’t you shoot your attack magic!”  (Mile)

Even Mile was complaining but she still casted magic to cushion Rena’s fall.

“Rising airflow! Help Rena land safely!”  (Mile)

According to that word, the air swirled counterclockwise around Rena’s crash prediction spot, and a strong ascending air current occurred...

Apparently this is a northern hemisphere (どうやらここは北半球であるらしかった)

It was impossible to tell whether the atmosphere converged in a counter-clockwise direction to give raise to an ascending air current, or the air current was created by decreasing atmospheric pressure, which resulted in a counter-clockwise swirl. Anyway, Rena safely landed on a cushion of ascending air current

She can still hear the voice of Mile.

“Maevis cutter !!”  (Mile) (TN: Katakana)

Do hi ~yun! (SFX)

And Maevis is flying through the sky.

  23. ….i just don’t understand why she simply doesn’t use magic to bring down the flying lizard…..she should be capable of that since she is a completely “average” being……………..

    • Yeah, she could easily do it on her lonesome but she’s said before that she want’s to try her best to include everyone as they are a team. and also that if she did it by herself then she wouldn’t be ‘average.’ As no party so far has been successful in downing the wyvern so far, she’s probably thinking to include everyone in this feat.

  24. The science here refers to the Coriolis Effect, which can be observed by which direction vortices form–this includes things like tornadoes, whirlpools, and in which direction the water flows when you flush the toilet.
    However, in the northern hemisphere, the Coriolis Effect causes vortices to form in a clockwise direction, so I am not sure why it reads as counter-clockwise, unless Mile’s magic is supposed to go in the opposite direction to simulate lift and slow Rena’s fall.
    Anyway, if one wants to know more about the science, research the Coriolis Effects.

    ROFLMAO, to be thrown up like that is already scary but to get ‘showered’ in the process!? :O
    The only saving grace here (I think) is that the girls (Rena, Maevis &Pauline) didn’t have to expirience a certain bear’s technique of cordless bungee jump
