T.N: Because the translator from the other site, who translated chapter 1 (8 parts) has deleted his translations so I retranslate it for both new readers and old readers who want to remember the story to read. It was surprisingly short and easy to translate.
Cathia Chapter 1-1: Letter from the capital
「Hey Cathy.
Would you like to go to the capital in my stead?」(Tim)
(T.N: Tim calls Cathia as Cathy, lack “a” but Cathi seems weird, that’s why “Cathy”)
Suddenly, Ojii-sama said that as he was wiping his sweat in front of the well after finishing his daily training.
「The capital, isn’t it?
It’s a long way off.
And what does it mean by “in your stead”?」(Cathia)
Ojii-sama makes a slightly troubled face.
Is it something hard to say?
In his stead? Is it a meaningless errand for Ojii-sama?
「I have mentioned that I used to be a guard-knight, right?
I was a comrade who has been on the battlefield for a long time with Spike, the predecessor king.」(Tim)
I’ve heard that story before.
He seems to have been a friend of the position beyond the king and his vassal.
As I listened to that part, I made a guess.
「Perhaps the letter you received in the village yesterday is…」(Cathia)
It had a gorgeous binding and fine paper.
The delivery person also wasn’t the one who usually comes to the village.
「Umu, here is the point of that convocation letter…
Apparently, his successor son, the current King Alan, died without appointing the next successor.
Among the three of his grandchildren, the first prince Edgar, the first princess Lily, and the second prince Karil.
It seems that he wants to recommend his granddaughter Lily as a successor.
And it seems that he wants my support as a backing for her」(Tim)
Apparently, political change is happening in the capital.
It was my first time hearing, though.
Well, this place is in the mountainous countryside…
Also, as far as I’ve heard so far, it seems that this country is not primogeniture.
Since the king who had the right to nominate his successor has died, it seems that it’s necessary to gather supporters and obtain a cause for claiming to be the King.
「So, why is Ojii-sama called?
You have already retired.
Besides, your impact might be rather small for a former guard knight to return.」(Cathia)
「I was very popular with the people.
I don’t know how it is now, but as long as the letter comes in this way, I will still be influential.
At that time back then, I was called Kensei (Divine Blade/Divine Sword).」(Tim)
Hm…!?
Just now, did he just something (Sugoi) amazingly “chuuni” in the middle of the day?
「Divine Sword, right? Was Ojii-sama called Divine Sword?」(Cathia)
「It’s a story when I was active…
I tell you, I didn’t call myself with something like that!」(Tim)
Eh…
As expected, that title was embarrassing. And it seems that he had a bitter face at first.
Given the flow of the story, it needs to be explained.
I think he’s cool, but Divine Sword.
Mufufu.
「Ei, I don’t like that look from my granddaughter!
Stop it!」(Tim)
「–Uwa!
Don’t throw your wooden sword so suddenly, isn’t that dangerous?」(Cathia)
=)

I thought kensei mean sword saint? Because on NU, Kensei no Deshi=Sword Saint’s Disciple

Actually, Kensei = sword saint is something the first translator of this series has chosen.
Novel update just used his translation for that as well.
.
As an amateur back then, I also used it.
But after many years, I gain more knowledge, especially the “Legend of the Heroes, Trails” series.
The “Kensei” was translated as a “Divine Blade” and it from an Official English Translation. It was done by professionals so I thought it would be closer than “Sword Saint”

hmm… It must be something different in Kanji. Not that I know Japanese, how shame. Sword Saint and Divine Sword are totally different, but in our language, they’re the same lol.
Btw, I wanna ask about what you would do with Fia manga series too. Sorry I don’t know where to ask this.
Thank you!

I thought other people already pick up and translated more chapters.

Are those words really the same in your language?
I mean
“Doesn’t Saint mean a holy woman or something?
The highest rank of Priestess class.
Profession in healing, purify, cleanse magic or even resurrection.”
.
That’s why after all the time reading more and more manga/anime/novel
I saw “sword saint” as weird.
I image sword saint as a Highest Female Paladin class instead of someone with godly sword skill.

That’s saintess or seijo in japanesse just like the part of anime title that currently airing
There’s also the case of [Jimi na Kensei wa Soredemo Saikyou desu] which official english title is [The World’s Least Interesting Master Swordsman]
So it’s up to you which one to use though
